I have a new camera... and i jsut remembered this blog... So idk if this means lots of new blogpost or if anyone will come across THIS post in the next 3 years... but I might add more pictures... Mmmm music is awesome. NeverShoutNever and Alesana came out with new albums today. NSN is awesome go check him out, never been a huge fan of alesana, but it's a good album anyways. Other bands to look up are Port O'Brien, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and Devendra Banhart because they are all excellent bands/artists. All Indie. Well if I post on this blog through my itouch there might be a lot more pictures but if not... this will most likely be the only blogpost for a long time....

Well I'm back from Camp/other camp/play/Yellowstone/people moving etc. And before i go drive to my brother's college Monday, I've decided to do a post.. How-to Split a log Grant Thomas and Tyler Rasmussen style. (School)

Find a log. And a safe place to split the log.
Unwrap about 9 model rocket engines and crush the black powder and put aside for later.
Drill a hole in said log about ½-¾ down through the center of the rings in the log.
Fill hole with black powder from model rocket engines.
Place Styrofoam cup on top of the hole upside down.
Light Styrofoam cup on fire.
Run.

Well I can’t do it so well but my grandfather can do it really easily. So here’s how I reckon you have to do it.

Find a fly.
Wait for it to land
Grab it not where it is not but a bit above the fly, because it’s reactions are better than yours
If all else fails and you just want to kill the fly use a fly swatter, or aerosol and a lighter.

Star Trek Review (School)

Well I went to go see the new Star Trek movie. Despite and obnoxious group of college geeks in front of us, and large people in our row getting up every 10 minutes. Despite the people behind us spilling their drinks and not bothering to clean it up so all the soda dripped down on our shoes. Despite all of the audience annoyance, it was a pretty good movie. Couple things I didn’t like: sex scene or something with Kirk, and a Spock-Ahura relationship. Of course movies now-a-days are bound to have sex scenes in them, kind of stinks about movies today… Now onto the spock Ahura Relationship… What the deuce?!?! I have noooo idea where that came from, and it really annoyed me. It like the sex scene had no point! Star Trek was not a complete fail, and if you know me I’d prolly give it at least a 4 star because it had Simon Pegg in it, and he spoke in a Scottish accent. Now Simon Pegg, you might notice is a skinny man, but he pulled off the role of Scotty well, in the beginning asking Kirk and Old Spock about food. On the whole I will assume this is before Scotty is well fed. I’m not a geek, so I have no idea if the special affects were awesome or not but they seemed fine… Hmm.. I noticed that the actor who played Kirk didn’t do the William Shattner “random-pause-during-speaking” but other than that I think he played a good Kirk. The only other thing I can think of is that it was cool having the old Spock in it, but he was really old.

So at long last I have posted on my blog, because I finally got off my butt and took some pictures. Check them out and read it up.

This is No Trace of Presence they're a sic hardcore band local to Baltimore, MD. This is a full pic of the band to get everyone in the blog, I would've had separate pics of everyone but I was busy hardcoredancing-ish to their music. Kyle is far left leaning on Ben Loeb. The drummer is James McBride, the singer (and only girl in the band) is Courtney Birk. 2nd to the right is Keth Higgins and the far right in the white shirt is Daniel Hawkins.
Basically I probably can't say enough about this band/ am too lazy to type. but they are br00tal. Intense. Hardcore. Sic. Awesome. Seriously just go check out their myspace! RIGHT NOW! This is Kyle Reichard. Lead Guitar, screams. I've known him since 6th grade I think? idk sometime around then. Intense.

Courtney Birk. Excellent singer. I think she thinks I'm the weirdest kid ever cuz we met in a bad moment for me... I was going crazy... don't ask. but basically she's never REALLY met me, but now prolly thinks Grant Thomas is an idiot or something.

Ben Loeb!!! plays for No Trace of Presence & my other friend's band Autostrada one of best best friends. I've know him for a long time but I never really talked to him until 2 yrs ago, he's a crazy kid, talented. etc. (this is him playing for No Trace of Presence)

Robert Schult. Robert has been my long time friend since 4th grade. Drummer for Autostrada! He's an awesome drummer!

Ryan Reichard. Interesting.... but seriously he's Kyle's brother. I honestly don't know him THAT well but he's chill. He plays Bass for Autostrada. Props to him. also this is not the best picture...

Now we come to Seth Fowler. Easily another one of my best friends. Lead vocals and guitar for Autostrada. Awesome guy. Lucky guy... Goes out of country like at least once a year ever since I met him in 3rd grade. He's an only child in technicality... but Omar Antoine basically lives with him (the live close and Omar's rents both have jobs so Omar does school with Seth like every day from morning till mid to late afternoon I suppose.. I have semi joined the "brotherhood" because I do economics and SAT prep with them on Tuesdays and Thursdays.) but yea enough about Seth. odds are you prolly already know him. cuz I think Jamie is the only one who reads my blog that doesn't go to Granite. Props to Jamie for that!

Anyways! Check out Autostrada!!!! They're amazing. Well as most of you can see this isn't the best picture on the planet, but it is a picture with an awesome story behind it! So one day at camp Shanty had to go do shanty things and Caleb and I were stiign next to him/his place while he left. So being cool as we are we basically played our only prank for the 08 Hemlock Year. Now this obviously seems stupid, however the portions in which we gave Shanty were small-none miniscuelle. I liked this idea so much, that for a week or two straight Caleb and I served Shanty's meals to him in the appropriate size. A couple of times Kitchen Staff cool as THEY are helped us in our scheme and served him a minesculle dessert. Unfortunatly all good things are put to an end, and Mrs. Chef didn't like my prank.... :'( so she was like.... no ..... and I was like .... party pooped!, then Caleb and I made him this for the last food Shanty prank... The End

Yay for photoshop, when I first took the picture there was only on one house, and the die read 1 and 2, thanks to photoshop I have equalized the houses, and corrected the number on the die. And although it would've been much easier to just take another picture it was more fun with photoshop

Black and white wins the week's color! congrats to all you black and white voters this week's first photo is a road surrounded by trees as you can see it looks like the trees will soon form a tunel effect over the road. I took this picture while in a car driving up this road to my bible study, and it just stuck me as an image of some diseny flic back when disney movies were of my taste... good times...
